L’Eaux d’Issey


New L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme advertising campaign

In 2014, Issey Miyake continues the L’Eau d’Issey saga with the launch of its new advertising campaign.

In an unprecedented campaign by photographer Daniel Jouanneau, the two fragrances are depicted in a new light – not a break from past campaigns or a 180-degree turn, but rather a continuation. The same grace, imbued with purity and simplicity, reveals an audacious form of poetry.

Since the first scent was launched in 1992, perfumer, designer and photographer have shared and combined their individual interpretations of Water by Issey Miyake.

In response to L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme composed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier, photographers have translated their fragrances into images.

Here again, there is poetry without words, a dialogue between the elements, a lily facing the glass bead on the L’ Eau d’Issey bottle, a nutmeg seed balanced on a piece of cinnamon bark.

More importantly, no women, men or muses are depicted. Nothing but the essential.
And consistent, extreme purity; a harmony of simple and subtle shapes. An obvious truth as well, beyond time and fashions.
